Accelerating growth stage technology startups in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan
The TELUS Technology Accelerator is an eight-month program designed to accelerate your company's business model, technology, and operational backbone. Its goal is to support the development of growth-stage companies with technologies that TELUS could potentially use, integrate or commercialize. Applications are especially sought from companies focused on any of the following priority areas:
- Next Generation Telecommunications Services
Technologies that will allow TELUS to enable its customers to access and/or generate any content and/or information on any device, anywhere, anytime, for an integrated communications and entertainment experience.
- Industrial Internet of Things (IoT)
Transportation, Industrial IoT (Oil and Gas, construction, mining, etc.); smart buildings, and agricultural technology (smart farms, etc.) and, analytics solutions built on IoT data.
- Smart Cities
Technologies that will enable municipalities to capture, process and analyze data from multiple different sources in order to enable timely decisions with regards to city services. Technologies may include, software, data analytics, sensors and platforms.
- Secure by Design
Security tools, information and techniques that support an organization in embedding good cyber-security practices into the full IT lifecycle, including modern DevOps practices.
- Digital Health and Wellness
Technologies that allow enabling, managing, connecting, securing, and/or analyzing data from health wearable devices and could be integrated with applications enabling health and wellness solutions. TELUS is looking to enable more efficient physician collaboration, or increasing patient awareness and self-monitoring as part of a holistic preventive care plan.
- The Last 100m Technologies
Technologies that dramatically reduce the cost of providing connectivity to premises at the last 100 meters, while maintaining high levels of reliability and low operational costs.
TTA Cohort 2 Graduates
FieldCap is an offline-capable, device-agnostic web application used by oilfield service companies to capture data in the field. FieldCap streamlines the way companies track, approve and bill their jobs.

MindfulGarden is a therapeutic device built on a custom software platform that responds to movement and sound, and uses biosensor input (heart rate, galvanic response, respiratory rate) to trigger a multilayer interactive “garden” experience that reduces anxiety, agitation and aggression in hospitalized patients experiencing delirium/dementia.

Routeique bridges the gap between order management and delivery management for distributors, closing the technology gap on the ‘Last Mile’. They do this by combining a powerful cloud-based software platform with mobile applications for iOS and Android, as well as Industrial Internet of Things (IOT) devices for vehicle tracking, asset tracking, signature capture and remote invoice printing, to manage the logistics for commercial delivery businesses.

UrbanLogiq is a cloud-based platform that breaks down data silos to make government decisions faster, cheaper and more accurate. Currently, government data is fragmented in different departments and layers of government, preventing the value of data from being harnessed for urban planning.
UrbanLogiq aggregates government data from across departments, adds external information sources and applies machine learning analytics to automate city workflows and provide actionable urban planning intelligence.

Physio4D is an interactive mobile technology for guidance of physical therapy exercises at home, using animated 3D visualization and real-time suggestive feedback. It offers physiotherapists a digital onboarding process, a vision-based assessment tool, an intelligent exercise recommendation portal and interactive compliance tracking to automate the process of objective examination, exercise instruction and compliance tracking in an accurate, data driven and engaging way.
